This article describes the options for ANZCAP recognition via a Training Program.

Training Program Recognition

ANZCAP Resident and ANZCAP Registrar recognition can be obtained by completion of an accredited Advanced Pharmacy Australia (AdPha) Training Program. To become a candidate for training program recognition, pharmacists must be:

  • Employed at an AdPha accredited training workplace

  • Nominated by their accredited workplace as a Resident or Registrar Training candidate

  • A current AdPha member (which includes free access to ANZCAP)

Requirements for Resident Recognition via the Training Program

To obtain ANZCAP Resident recognition via the Training Program, pharmacists must:

  • Be an Ahpra registered pharmacist practicing at the general level

  • Complete a Training Resident Recognition Portfolio

For further information on the LX requirements to complete this recognition portfolio please refer to the AdPha Resident Training Program Framework.

Requirements for Registrar Recognition via the Training Program

To obtain ANZCAP Registrar Recognition via the Training Program, pharmacists must:

  • Be an Ahpra registered pharmacist

  • Received ANZCAP Resident recognition via the Independent, Training or Foundation program (or have provided ANZCAP with evidence of equivalent advanced practice qualifications)

  • Complete a Registrar Training Recognition Portfolio

ANZCAP Registrar recognition is awarded in a particular specialty area.
