Summary

This article describes the process and requirements should you be selected to provide evidence in support of your recognition achieved through the Foundation Program.

Collation of evidence to support your Foundation program recognition

Audits of portfolios submitted via the ANZCAP Foundation Program will be performed at the time of annual renewal.

Approximately 10% of all portfolios recognised through the Foundation Program will be audited each year.

Those selected for audit will be informed via email within 7 days of their annual recognition having been processed and will have 6 weeks from this date to collate the required evidence.

Demonstration of evidence

Should you be selected for audit you will be required to collate evidence demonstrating at least 7 of the 10 core LX’s expected of a pharmacist practicing at your level of recognition. Those recognised at Pharmacist Resident or Pharmacist Registrar level may choose to incorporate LX’s from the level above if they have started working towards their next recognition.

This evidence must be presented to ANZCAP as completed and validated LX’s in a custom portfolio named ‘audit requirements 202xx’

Following year 1 audits (2024-2025), at least 2 of the 7 core LX’s submitted as part of the custom portfolio must have been completed within the previous 12 months.

Core LX requirements for each level of recognition

The Core LX requirements for each level of recognition are:

Outcomes

Should you not be able to meet the auditing requirements, your recognition will be made conditional for 12 months to the date of your next annual renewal, allowing you time to collate and submit a full portfolio as per the requirements of the ANZCAP Independent Pathway.

If you do not submit a full portfolio at the conclusion of your 12-month conditional recognition, your recognition will be revoked.

Extenuating circumstances

If there are extenuating circumstances that will prevent you from completing your audit requirements overall, or within the required timeframe, ANZCAP will work with you to develop a plan that is acceptable to both parties.

Failure to engage

In the event that an individual does not fulfil the audit requirements within the specified timeframe and does not contact ANZCAP to provide information, their recognition will be revoked.
