This article contains information on how to include a completed professional practice assessment tool as a Collaborative Learning Experience.
What is the Professional Practice Assessment Tool LX?
The Professional Practice Assessment Tool LX allows pharmacists to record the completion of either the Clinical Competency Achievement Tool (ClinCAT) or the Professional Practice Standards (PPS) 2023 Tool. These tools are used to assess a pharmacist's performance in delivering high-quality, safe, reliable and evidence-based healthcare services. It can be used for inclusion towards ANZCAP recognition.
The Clinical Competency Achievement Tool (ClinCAT) is a tool used to facilitate peer evaluation of a pharmacist's practice through a snapshot of their day-to-day practice.
The Professional Practice Standards (PPS) define and articulate the minimum performance expectations of professional behaviour of all pharmacists.
The pharmacist will choose which tool is the most appropriate for their current role, location of professional practice and availability of trained evaluators.
Please refer to the relevant article for further information on how to complete either the:
