Summary

This article describes recognition and custom portfolios.

Portfolios

Within the ANZCAP digital platform Learning Experiences (LXs) are stored in your LX Library. Learning Experiences (LXs) are building blocks that can then be compiled into two different types of portfolios.

  • Recognition Portfolios

  • Custom Portfolios

Portfolios can be digitally shared with colleagues to provide evidence of professional practice.

Recognition Portfolio

Recognition portfolios are used to achieve ANZCAP recognition as a Resident, Registrar or Consultant. The combination of LXs required for each recognition portfolio will depend on the recognition level and program that the pharmacist is completing.

The recognition portfolios currently available on the ANZCAP digital platform are via the Independent Program or the Training Program. These include:

Independent Resident

Training Resident

Independent Registrar

Training Registrar

Independent Consultant

Please refer to the Independent Program Recognition and Training Program Recognition articles for further details on the LX requirements for each of these recognition portfolios.

For further information on how to create a recognition portfolio please refer to the How to build a Recognition Portfolio guide.

Custom Portfolio

Custom portfolios allow ANZCAP members to combine LXs into portfolios that reflect their individual professional practice. It is an optional feature that allows ANZCAP members to document and share evidence of their professional practice in a form that best reflects them and their experience.

There are no restrictions or rules on what types of LXs can be used in a Custom portfolios.

Custom Portfolios are a great way for pharmacists to compile LXs that show professional experiences which complement those shown in a recognition portfolio.

Example: creating a custom portfolio that shows experience in critical care after previously obtaining an ANZCAP resident recognition.

Custom Portfolios are also a great way for pharmacists who are not currently a candidate for recognition to document and share evidence of professional practice

For further information on how to create a custom portfolio please refer to the How to build a Custom Portfolio guide.
