Summary

This article describes how to use the LX library and how to build LX that can be included in recognition portfolios and custom portfolios.

What is the Learning Experience (LX) library?

The learning experience library is the repository of all learning experiences used within ANZCAP.

Find out more about Learning Experiences (LX).

See also a full list of available LX activity types.

LX are managed within the LX library and can also be associated with a recognition portfolio or custom portfolios.

Regardless of whether an LX has been associated with a recognition portfolio, custom portfolios, or even if the LX has expired, it will continue to be available in your LX library.

How to access the LX Library

Access the LX library from

  • ANZCAP Landing page

  • Recognitions (that are not yet complete)

  • Menus

How to create a Learning Experience

A learning experience is a professional experience or activity that is recognised by ANZCAP that can be used towards a level of ANZCAP recognition.

Each ANZCAP LX activity is mapped to competency standards as outlined in FRAMEWORK.

Each Recognition has minimum requirements including Total LX, specific Core LX and Elective LX.
See Recognitions for more information on LX requirements for each recognition.

A learning experience can be created:

  • From scratch as a new LX

  • Cloned from a recently completed CPD activity.

Expiry of an LX

Most LX Activity types are set to expire any individual LX at 5 years. There are a few exceptions, however, of LX that do not expire e.g., Higher degrees.

Expiry of an LX, if it is of an LX activity type that expires, occurs automatically at 5 years.

Expiry of LX only impacts Recognition portfolios that are not yet complete.

If an LX expires within a Recognition portfolio that is not yet complete, it no longer appears in the portfolio. This ensures that when the recognition is complete and submitted for validation, that the LX within the recognition represent a current profile of the candidate.

Expired LX appear in the LX library in the status Expired.

These LX continue to appear in Recognition portfolios that were complete ('Active’) prior to the LX expiry date (no change).

They can continue to be used within Custom Portfolios only (available from 2024).
