SummaryThis article describes and links to a pdf copy of the National Competency Standards Framework for Pharmacists in Australia 2016, referred here in this article as ‘the Framework’. |
The competency Domains included in the Framework are the basis for the ANZCAP recognition levels and map as follows.
Performance Levels | Framework Name | ANZCAP Program | ANZCAP Recognition |
---|---|---|---|
Level I | Transition | Inaugural, Independent, Training | Resident |
Level II | Consolidation | Inaugural, Independent, Training | Registrar (with specialty) |
Level III | Advanced | Inaugural, Independent | Consultant (with specialty) |
Each recognition within a program has a definition of Total LX, Core LX and Elective LX to complete and submit the recognition for validation.
Each LX is mapped to one or more competency Domains.
The Core LX definition for each recognition is designed to satisfy the minimum requirements for the corresponding framework performance level.
For example:
LX Activity Names | Domain 1: Professionalism and ethics | Domain 2: Communication and collaboration | Domain 4: Leadership and management | Domain 5: Education and research |
---|---|---|---|---|
ClinCAT | 0.5 | 0.5 | ||
Note: Domain 3 is not mapped to ANZCAP recognitions
