What is the Journal Club Presentation?
The Independent Journal Club Presentation is an Independent Learning Experience that can be used to document an occasion where a pharmacist has presented relevant research to a group of colleagues and self-reflected on their ability to demonstrate knowledge of research critical appraisal, research methodology and ability to apply research evidence into professional practice. It can also aid the development of formal oral presentation skills to colleagues.
It is a Workplace Based Assessment (WBA) tool that can be used for inclusion towards ANZCAP recognition.
The main outcome of the tool is to record evidence of the learning experience and encourage self-reflection of current professional practice (research knowledge, critical appraisal and presentation skills) in a chosen professional setting or topic.

The total time for a journal club presentation is variable depending on the opportunity available. After completion of the presentation the documentation and reflection should take between 10-15 minutes.
