10 Core Learning Experiences
Core LXs are designed to show a minimum distribution of professional practice across all the competency domains. Completion of all Core LXs are mandatory for portfolio submission and the area(s) of practice within each LX must align with your chosen area(s) of ANZCAP specialty practice for Registrar or Consultant recognition.
30 Elective Learning Experiences
Elective LXs allow you to demonstrate your individual professional practice. The area(s) of practice within each Elective LX must align with your chosen area(s) of ANZCAP specialty practice for Registrar or Consultant recognition. Refer to the ANZCAP Independent Program article for guidance on which combination of LXs can be used as Elective LXs.

If you are submitting for ANZCAP Registrar or Consultant recognition then you will be required to indicate which one or two areas of specialty practice you are being recognised for. The area of practice for each LX within your portfolio must align with these overall areas of specialty practice.
