How do ANZCAP recognitions relate to the Framework?

The competency domains included in the Framework are the basis for the ANZCAP recognition levels and map as follows.

How are learning experiences (LX) mapped to the Framework competency standards?

  • Each LX is mapped to one or more of the National Competency Standards Framework for Pharmacists in Australia 2016 domains

  • Each recognition within the Independent program has a defined number of Total LX, Core LX and Elective LX to complete a resident, registrar or consultant recognition portfolio.

  • The Core LXs required for each level of ANZCAP recognition is designed to satisfy the minimum professional requirements for each of the four advancing practice domains outlined in the framework.

  • The Elective LXs allows the candidate to individualise the distribution of their evidence of professional practice across the framework domains to reflect their own practice. This distribution is displayed in the “domain breakdown” graph in the recognition portfolio builder banner bar (see image below).
