This article describes how to use the LX library and how to build LX that can be included in recognition portfolios and custom portfolios.

How to create a Learning Experience

A learning experience is a professional experience or activity that is recognised by ANZCAP that can be used towards a level of ANZCAP recognition.

Each ANZCAP LX activity is mapped to competency standards as outlined in FRAMEWORK.

Each Recognition has minimum requirements including Total LX, specific Core LX and Elective LX.

A learning experience Learning Experience (LX) is a type of Workplace Based Assessment (WBA) tool that an ANZCAP member can use to record evidence of professional practice at a chosen ANZCAP Recognition level (e.g. Resident, Registrar, Consultant).

A LX can be created:

  • From scratch as a new LX

  • Cloned from a recently completed CPD activity .(feature coming in future releases)

Creating an LX from scratch

  1. In the ANZCAP Landing Page or , by selecting the “+New LX” button under the My draft Learning Experiences (LX) section:

Cloning an LX from a completed CPD

  1. In the LX library, select the CPD tab to view eligible CPD that can be converted to an LX

For CPD to appear in this tab they must be:

  • Recorded in SHPA CPD Planning and Recording

  • In the status Finalised or Complete

  • Less than 5 years since the CPD completion date
